Feb 22 is Human Trafficking Awareness Day in Canada, we are reminded of the urgent need to protect our children from predators. Shockingly, research shows that within one kilometer of our present location, a young person is being lured into sex trafficking. According to Statistics Canada, one in four victims of human trafficking are children and youth, and 24% of victims are under the age of 18.
Alberta is investing $3.5M to fight human trafficking, but we must also raise awareness and education among parents and childcare providers. As you watch the story in the linked video, you'll see the unmet need for love, recognition, and caring that make our children vulnerable to predators.
Parenting is already one of the most challenging roles for working parents, and the added risk of human trafficking can be overwhelming. That's why FLOW Infinity offers a systematic coaching program to help you navigate the challenges and stay connected with your child.
